Control the conversation

Reader panel vs full workspace
The same stop, queue, and delete controls work in the reader Study AI panel. Page-scoped chats still save to /study-ai so you can continue a document conversation in the full workspace with library tools.
Queued questions stay in the current thread. Switching documents clears the reader panel queue so you do not send a leftover prompt against the wrong PDF.

How citations stay honest
Library search, highlights, recents, starred pages, and page lookup return numbered excerpts. Study AI is instructed to cite those as [1], [2] and not invent titles. Google / web lookup is labeled as general knowledge — never as a quote from your files.
If retrieval finds nothing in scope, the model should say so under Gaps instead of filling from memory. Attach a relevancy or syllabus doc when you want exam framing on top of your notes.
When to reindex
Better embeddings use document titles and query-vs-document task types. Newly processed pages index automatically; a one-shot backfill is available if older PDFs still miss search.
Free accounts have a vector chunk cap. Premium raises it so large collections stay searchable during peak revision.
